Meet the Main Street Advisory Committee

Community-led. Locally grounded. Focused on progress.

The Main Street Advisory Committee brings together local leaders, business owners, residents, and partners who care deeply about the future of our Main Street District. Working alongside the City, the committee provides guidance, ideas, and community perspective to support thoughtful revitalization, historic preservation, and economic vitality.

Why an Advisory Committee?

Revitalizing a downtown takes more than projects. It takes people.

The Main Street Advisory Committee exists to ensure that decisions affecting the district are informed by local voices, lived experience, and long-term community goals. Members serve in an advisory role, helping shape priorities, review initiatives, and strengthen connections between businesses, residents, and the City.

The committee does not replace City leadership or staff. Instead, it serves as a collaborative partner, offering insight, accountability, and community perspective.

What We Focus On

  • Economic vitality and small business support
  • Historic preservation and design quality
  • Events, promotions, and placemaking
  • Community engagement and partnerships
  • Long-range visioning for the district

This work aligns with the nationally recognized Main Street Approach, which emphasizes sustainable, locally driven revitalization.

Who We Are

Members of the Main Street Advisory Committee represent a cross-section of the community. This includes business owners, property owners, professionals, residents, and partners who bring a range of perspectives and expertise.

Committee members volunteer their time and serve because they believe in the importance of a vibrant, welcoming, and economically strong Main Street District.
