On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Main Street Roanoke Rapids invites you to be a part of the City of Roanoke Rapids’ biggest Independence Day celebration with a patriotic parade, local vendors, food trucks, a kids splashdown, and more, during our America 250 family friendly experience!

Event Overview

Join us for a festive day of community pride, celebration, and activity in the heart of Roanoke Rapids. Liberty on Main is designed to bring together residents, visitors, nonprofits, schools, and businesses for an exciting July 4 experience.

Registration Details

Vendor Registration: $25
Limited spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parade Entry: $25
Free for nonprofits, schools, and government entities.

Deadline: Apply by June 15

Parade Route 

If you’ve attended past parades, you may notice we are on Hamilton this year. Why? This adjustment allows us to better manage traffic, improve safety, and create a smoother experience for both participants and the community, while still keeping the event in the heart of our Main Street District and leads right up to the festival.

The Independence Day Parade will begin at the intersection of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway and Hamilton Street and travel north to E 11th and circling around to the Kirkwood Adams Community Center.
